Tonight might have been one of the best nights of my life. During our final trip to the bars we gave final hugs to the friends we had made and then we gathered in front of Soi Crocodile on Bangla Road. Meters to my left women were dancing topless and a variety of lady-boys (men turned to women) performed. Ten feet to the side and twenty feet up, a Russian women was pole dancing in a glass box. Music from every direction was overwhelming along with surrounding neon signs and lights. Thousands of people had come to Bangla Road to enjoy sex, drugs, shows and alcohol tonight, and many of them were in crowds that walked casually around us.

I had been praying for boldness and this prayer's answer was, "YES!"

It all started with a song. The first song was a more on the timid humm category. At that point there were six of us standing in a little circle. Along with strange looks from people around us we gained boldness. Within a few minutes an old, petit tribal lady carrying a box of bracelets for sale manouvered into our huddle. I knew from the joyful look on her face that Mighty to Save was familiar. She pointed to herself, made a cross with her fingures and then motioned prayer.

"Ohhh, dee!" I exclaimed. I gae her a hug... "Pee Soaw!" (Which means: ohhh good... big sister!)

She joined us for a minute and then we bought bracelets from her box and prayed loudly around her right in the middle of the street. Two other street vendors saw and we prayed for them too. One, who I don't think was a Christian, grew a massive smile after we said Amen.

"I am soooo happy!" She squealed, dancing, and she ran to her friend who was walking over and began to tell her about God!!!

We sang so loud that people stared. We sang so loud that people stopped to figure out what we were doing. We sang so loud that in a couple years when some man looks at his homemade video of those topless girls, he will be surprised when the pan view of the street shows us worshipping. Singing:

"You're the God of this city, You're the King of these people, You're the Lord of this nation."

Singing:

"How great is our God!"

Singing:

"Our God is so big, so strong and so mighty, there's nothing our God cannot do!"

We walked down the street singing and yelling truth. Don't be fooled, this was all as akward as it sounds, but oh so wonderful! We stopped and talked to a couple people on the way, but one older man really caught my eye. He was sitting at the front of a bar alone sipping at a beer and starring into the sky. I knew God was telling me to go talk with Him, but what would I say? Did he even speak English? So, I passed Him. And five minutes later, his face was still impressed on my mind and I was shaking. I grabbed a teammate and went back.

" Excuse me?" I leaned over towards the man. "Do you speak english?"

He nodded yes... check one!

The Holy Spirit took over and I told him why I was talking to him, talked about his past and told him things about how his life wasn't over, that God still had plans for him. I don't even remember all the words, but each one came out so easily. I finished talking and tears were welling in the man's eyes.

"I don't know what to say," He said, starrng at me.

I put my hand on his shoulder, told him it was okay and walked away.

I don't know anything about that man and I don't know why little me was suppose to tell him those things. But praise the Redeemer for a seed well planted. Jesus definitely came to our worship session in the middle of a dark, rotten street. And it was so refreshing.

Oh and PS... Three of our girls prayed for one specific lively bar to be closed one afternoon, and the next night it was abandoned!
